The Ghent city centre is a low emission zone. Vehicles having a non-belgian number plate should register before entering the area! A compliance check for all other vehicles is strongly recommended.
Venue
Thagaste is set in the unique location of a historic monastery where Augustinian monks still live and work. The Augustinian Monastery is situated in the historic heart of Ghent, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the Cathedral, the UNESCO-protected Graslei, or the Belfry. Although the monastery is an oasis of peace, you are only a few steps away from the lively centre of the old historic city.
Thagaste represents the modern function of the monastery: a place where people meet, where they exchange ideas, and where they can simply enjoy being together, all nestled in a historic setting.

Hybrid physical/virtual attendance
Of course, we are looking forward to welcome you at the splendid venue in Ghent. However, the organising committee decided to open SteelyHydrogen 2022 as a hybrid conference allowing physical or virtual attendance. That is why, you can specify one of both options during the registration process.
